As a web developer, I had the privilege of working on an exciting project showcasing the rich history and expertise of Whitney Equipment Company Inc. (WECI). Established in 1971, WECI has established itself as the leading process sales organization in the Pacific Northwest, renowned for providing innovative and reliable solutions from top-tier municipal and industrial process equipment manufacturers.
Client-Centric Approach: Our primary focus for this portfolio piece was to highlight WECI’s commitment to superior customer support. Through intuitive web design and user-friendly functionality, we aimed to create a seamless browsing experience for potential clients in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska. The website serves as a one-stop hub for account management, engineering design resources, and after-market service, showcasing WECI’s dedication to meeting and exceeding client expectations.
Expertise and Solutions: By collaborating closely with the WECI team, we showcased their extensive knowledge and expertise through engaging content. The website features information on industry-leading manufacturers, highlighting WECI’s ability to provide cutting-edge process equipment solutions. We emphasized WECI’s in-house engineers and FM-certified service department, illustrating their comprehensive support capabilities and commitment to delivering exceptional results.
Changing Platforms: WECI.com was not only a website redesign but also changing of platforms from Wix to WordPress. Meaning that we had to take all the content from the old WIX site and manually move it over to the new WordPress site. This process gave us opportunities to remove content such as employee profiles off the site. However, due to the technical nature of the company a lot of content had to be worked into the designs. While challenging to have so much technical content, the content is for the target audience which is mainly engineers and project managers. It’s important to know your audience when designing your website for clients.
Seamless Communication: Recognizing the importance of effective communication, we implemented contact forms and streamlined contact information throughout the website. This allows visitors to reach out to WECI effortlessly, fostering quick and efficient engagement to address their specific process equipment needs.
